Hanging Out With Lindsay Vonn
Legendary downhill racer Lindsay Vonn suffered a devastating leg injury during the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, trying to duplicate the Gold Medal she won in the 2010 Olympics and a gazillion World Cup medals. She’s a champion – and an inspiration to all of us, on the slopes and off. SeniorsSking wishes her a speedy recovery. In her honor, we are republishing this article from 2023, when Evelyn Kanter got to hang out with Lindsay Vonn. From the archives:

Hunter is doing a reunion of the slutzky/platner sking era Monday February 23rd. I thought it would make a great story for the senior skier.
Checkout on Facebook “friends of Karl platner ” to see the itinerary and RSVP to participate. If you can attend you know you have a place to stay. I’m leaving for Utah Sunday so call me for more information.

Can’t attend either, since I’m leaving for Utah the day before you. Maybe we can catch up there and take some runs together again. If you can connect me with one of the race participants, I would love an article to publish. Also, the 70+ Ski Club has its annual race at Hunter in mid-March, and I’m planning to attend, maybe even race.
