Best Deals For Seniors at 124 North American Ski Areas (2026)

SeniorsSkiing.com wholeheartedly agrees with 106 year old ski industry legend Klaus Obermeyer when he says “The longer you ski, the longer you live.”  With that philosophy in mind we are pleased to provide subscribers with our annual listing of North American ski areas who let older skiers continue their passion without breaking the bank.

Our general criteria for “deeply discounted” were passes available for under $50.

While not intentional, this list may contain incorrect or out of date information.  As ski season gets into full swing, some of these passes may no longer be available at super low prices or not available to purchase again until the spring.

Note that the free skiing for rather youthful senior skiers (65+) at Cannon Mt. in New Hampshire only applies to New Hampshire residents. A great value in the Mt. Washington Valley, though not free, for those in their 70’s, is Bretton Woods at $40 mid-week. Bretton Woods has vast amounts of “intermediate” terrain, particularly appealing to those seniors who now classify themselves as “expert intermediate” skiers.

You missed Minnesota- Hyland Hills and Buck Hill have senior rates age 62 and up! Lutsen and Spirit have free skiing at 80.
I haven’t checked on other areas but I believe most have reduced price tickets for seniors past some ages.
There are 16 ski areas in the state of Minnesota!

Wow!! A look down my Mass and NH ski areas and lack of generosity to those elder who have probably skied their mountain faithfully for decades shows nothing but discover! 80 years old is when they ski free or deep discount????
Are they kidding? The only decent one is the state of NH at Cannon mountain at 65 yrs old, but ONLY FOR STATE RESIDENTS!!
What is wrong with allowing more 65-67 yr olds to ski with a deep discount? They prob ski with both same ages or slightly younger friends who will buy passes or tickets. They will certainly buy more food and beverages not having to fork over $130-200 for a ticket!
The senior skiers are not generally respected or given much by ski operators!!
Imagine how many more might stay in the sport after a knee or hip issue but who wonder how they could afford tickets and just get out of the sport.

You missed Whistler Blackcomb Canada under $200 CAD for a Super Senior Season Pass. You must be over 75 and ask for it as it is not advertised

Whistler Blackcomb also offers a Senior Pass which they don’t advertise. 70+ can buy an Unlimited Epic Pass for US$695. It has all the benefits of a full price pass: 20% off food and retail, no blackout days etc.

While the Summit at Snoqualmie does offer free skiing to people 80 and older, it is exclusively Nordic skiing— not Alpine.

Do they allow Telemark skiers on the ski hill? It is sometimes referred to as ‘Free Heel’ skiing as the boot is not locked to the ski. In Canada Telemark skiing is under the umbrella of Nordic (cross-country skiing). The certifying body is the Canadian Association of Nordic Skiers (CANSI). Whereas alpine is certified by CSIA ‘The Canadian Instructors Alliance’.

You missed maybe the best senior deal in America. Bought a Whitefish Montana super senior (70+) season pass for $180 before the end of September. Now $725, but still a deal. Multi day super senior passes are $40 a day. 3,000 acres, 2,400 vertical, great ski town. Skied there last year. Loved it. It will be my home mountain from now on.

Hey Northeast skiers 70+, New York State has a $290 three mountain season ski pass that needs to be purchased in the Fall. It’s an unlimited season pass for all 3 mountains: Belleayre Mt., Gore Mt., and Whiteface Mt.
If you are a 70+ veteran, you can buy a daily lift ticket for $28, $33, $33 respectively at the aforementioned ski areas for the 2025/26 ski season. You will need proof of military service.

I just had a fabulous day at Jay Peak VT. They offer a discounted day pass for 65+ for a mere $77. (down from 90) There was no lines and the conditions were phenomenal. Too bad the upper mountain was shrowded on a cloud so I didnt get to see the top of that beautiful mtn…looks like I’ll just have to come back again!
