Jon would have loved it. If you ever get to Vail or any resort close to Vail give me a buzz. Love to make some turns and share stories about Jo.
Thanks David.
Very nice! Thank you for creating and sharing your montages.
Thank you for the feedback.
another good one Don
Thanks. Hope to see you this season…maybe at a NASJA event??
Well done, Don. John seemed like a cool and knowledgeable guy by his posts.
You captured the essences of Eastern skiing: the grating of the ice just under the “powder”, the dirt under the lifts, and the snow blowers going wide open on a blue sky day!
Authentic eastern skiing with all the fun and warts!
“Ice under the powder.” Ha ha. No New England resort ever acknowledges ice. Call it hard pack if you must.
Ice is blue. If it is white and solid it is just hard pack.
Back in New England, we used to say, “It’s not ‘ICE’, until you can see your face in it!” I wised up and moved West in 1970. Still enjoying skiing in the WARM SUNSHINE around Lake Tahoe!
Good move Roger…I’d love to do the same.
I’d never heard the saying about ice…good one…I will be quoting it this winter.
